When Places for People began, state resources almost exclusively funded our programs. Today, less than 65% of our funding comes from state support and reimbursements though Medicaid. There are many critical services, activities and programs that are supported, in part, by individual donors, including:
Parenting assistance for our clients who are raising children – currently, more than 55 children live with their parents
Vital nursing and medication management services for more than 200 clients – support that social workers and community support teams provide 365 days a year
The serving of more than 23,000 free, hot, daily lunches in The Club, PfP’s day program – The Club is frequently the first contact our homeless clients have with the agency
Client Accounting services, which assists 225 clients a month with paying bills and managing increasingly limited Medicaid and Social Security benefits
Emergency housing to individuals who are homeless – as well as housing assistance to clients who need help finding apartments, setting up utilities and moving
There is a 4.75% tax-deductible fee for completing this transaction. This fee is used to pay banks, credit card companies and other administrative costs. Places for People and Network for Good does not profit from this fee.
