When Places for People began, state resources almost exclusively funded our programs. Today, less than 65% of our funding comes from state support and reimbursements though Medicaid. There are many critical services, activities and programs that are supported, in part, by individual donors, including:

• Parenting assistance for our clients who are raising children – currently, more than 55 children live with their parents
• Vital nursing and medication management services for more than 200 clients –  support that social workers and community support teams provide 365 days a year
• The serving of more than 23,000 free, hot, daily lunches in The Club, PfP’s day program – The Club is frequently the first contact our homeless clients have with the agency
• Client Accounting services, which assists 225 clients a month with paying bills and managing increasingly limited Medicaid and Social Security benefits
• Emergency housing to individuals who are homeless – as well as housing assistance to clients who need help finding apartments, setting up utilities and moving
