Events

Places for People hosts multiple fundraising events throughout the year to help build support for our mission.

In the past, we’ve hosted popular events such as Places at the Garden, The Moonrise Lift-Off Event and Portland Places as well as our annual charity golf tournament.

In 2011, special fundraising events brought in nearly $140,000 to help cover the cost of homeless outreach services, emergency housing, transportation for our clients and many other services provided by our agency to help those in need get back on their feet and on a path towards recovery.

In June, we hosted PLACES 2011: Get Your MOTO Running held at the Moto Museum and in September PfP's 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Club. 2011 also brought about the inaugural Friends of PfP Trivia Night hosted by KFNS and 590 the Fan's One to Three Show. Each year we try to select unique venues and entertainment which generate excitement among our constituency sharing all our city has to offer.
