PfP's homeless outreach programs engage clients directly in the community at shelters, city parks and bus stops.
For more than a decade, PfP has dedicated resources to provide outreach and housing to people who are homeless and living with mental illness.
At its inception, the agency’s homeless outreach efforts differed from many area homeless programs. PfP’s program housed clients first --and then developed client-focused and client-directed recovery and treatment plans.
This approach, Housing First, has since been adopted by the Federal government and the City of St. Louis as a research based best practice.
