Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies recently honored Robin Adkins, Places for People Board member, as one of 12 recipients of the 2016 Volunteer Recognition Grant. Robin works as a Key Account Specialist for Janssen Pharmaceuticals.
Please meet Meredith. For the past 10 months, Meredith has volunteered her time every other Saturday morning leading a wellness group at Places at Page. In the group she discusses nutrition, exercise, healthy choices, and anything else that might come up. The experience has inspired her to pursue a master’s degree in social work at Washington University in St. Louis this fall.
Harris Meyer, senior reporter for Modern Healthcare, spent the day conducting interviews at Places for People and in the community on April 17. Meyer is working on a story about the upcoming Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) demonstration program, which begins July 1. The story will appear in the May 28 edition Modern Healthcare.
During National Volunteer Week, we celebrate all of the wonderful volunteers who give time to support Places for People’s mission. Please meet Rose, a graduate student at Washington University in St. Louis, who has volunteered as a tutor at Places for People for more than a year.
