The Jackson Pianos Traveling Yellow Piano has found a new home after visiting six locations in St. Louis in December.
The distinctive piano now resides in the Places for People Recovery Center after helping to “Raise Funds, Raise Awareness, and Raise Spirits” during the Keys for Keys Performance Series, presented by Jackson Pianos.
The concert series included three public performances and three performances at locations where Places for People provides services.
The piano visited Places at Page, Nathaniel Rivers Place and the Places for People Recovery Center. These performances included an opportunity for individuals and families served by Places for People to make crafts, eat dinner, and enjoy time together.
Thanks to sponsorships and donations collected at the public events, Keys for Keys raised more than $10,000 to support Places for People’s mission to improve the physical and behavioral health of the individuals, families, and communities we serve and those who support the provision of these services.
We are grateful to all of the time and guidance given by the Keys for Keys steering committee for this year’s performance series. The committee included:
- Heather Adelson, Jackson Pianos
- Mary Ellen Bryan, Central Studio
- Morgan Cameron, Jackson Pianos
- Leah Dyer
- Johanna Jones, Places for People
- Erin Warner Prange, The Big Muddy Dance Company
