Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Workshops
Join Illume: The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence for an in-person skills training starting Wednesday, August 31st, from 8:30a.m.-10:00a.m. (Central)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidenced based treatment that has been shown to be effective in treating individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder, suicidal behaviors, self-injurious behaviors, and pervasive emotional dysregulation. However, not all clients present symptoms warranting the full model of DBT. These clients would still benefit from learning and applying DBT skills to their everyday lives. This series of six workshops will help clinicians differentiate which clients would benefit from the full model of DBT; gain a basic orientation to DBT; and add DBT skills to their therapeutic toolkit. The workshops will teach DBT skills using hands on activities that can easily be applied in a variety of therapeutic settings. The presentation is open to the public. The cost for this workshop series will be $70 + Optional book:
“The DBT Skills Training Handouts and Worksheets workbook” by Marsha Linehan, PhD
DBT skills workshops will be an in-person event hosted by Illume: The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence from 8:30am-10:00am on August 31, September 21, October 26, November 30, January 25, and February 22, 2022-2023.
