The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services announced this morning that Missouri was one of eight states selected from a field of 24 to participate in the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) demonstration program.
This demonstration program is part of a comprehensive effort to integrate behavioral health with physical health care, increase consistent use of evidence-based practices, and improve access to high quality care for people with mental and substance use disorders.
Places for People will be the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic for St. Louis City.
This is a major victory for mental health care in Missouri, and an exciting next step for Places for People and those we are privileged to serve.
