Harris Meyer, senior reporter for Modern Healthcare, spent a day conducting interviews at Places for People and in the community on April 17. Meyer is working on a story about the upcoming Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) demonstration program, which begins July 1. Missouri was one of eight states chosen to participate in the CCBHC program. Places for People will serve as the CCBHC for Service Area 25, encompassing most of St. Louis City.
Meyer interviewed staff members, persons served, and some of Places for People’s community partners to learn more about the integration of physical and mental health care that occurs at Places for People.
“This is a great opportunity to provide exposure on a national level for the good work that our dedicated staff performs every day,” said Places for People Executive Director Joe Yancey.
The story will appear in the May 28 edition Modern Healthcare. Modern Healthcare is a weekly, national publication. Learn more on the Modern Healthcare website. Above, Meyer interviews Dr. Amy Hilmer, who is the physician at Family Care Health Centers’ satellite site at Places for People.
