After last year’s torrential downpour, the only purpose for an umbrella at this year’s Health Hustle 5K Run & Walk was to serve as protection from the morning sun.
Approximately 80 people and four dogs participated in the Third Annual Health Hustle 5K Run & Walk in Tower Grove Park on Saturday. The goal of the event, which was held by the Places for People Wellness Committee, was to promote the health and wellness of the dedicated staff, and the entire Places for People community. One in three participants in the event was a Places for People staff or family member.
Tony Wang took first overall, crossing the finish line in 15:45. Julia Kohnen took first place in the women’s division for the second year in a row, finishing in 17:22. See full results.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped the event run smoothly.
If you missed the Health Hustle, please save the date for the Sixth Annual Project XOXO 5K. Places for People is one of the beneficiaries of this race, which will be held Saturday, August 18 in Tower Grove Park. Online registration for the Project XOXO 5K opens soon.
