TURNING HARD WORK INTO HOPE

Jeff's Journey

Early in his role as Employment Specialist at Places for People, Justin Cincotta met Jeff, a man supported by the Employment Services team who was bursting with motivation and determination to find a job.

Jeff applied and interviewed with a local manufacturing company. “Thanks to his drive and readiness, he was offered the position,” Cincotta said.

The first 30 days on the job came with challenges. Jeff faced attendance issues due to pre-scheduled appointments and experienced some friction with a supervisor. Rather than letting frustration take over, Jeff stayed focused and committed himself to self-improvement and growth.

In the next 30 days, a transformation was underway. “He started saving money and set his sights on two big goals: moving out of sober living and purchasing a reliable vehicle,” Cincotta said. His progress wasn’t just financial. He began seeing his daughter more often and gradually emerged from the emotional shell he had built. His confidence grew. He smiled more. His attitude shifted. “He was becoming a happier, healthier, and more grounded version of himself,” Cincotta said.

At the 90-day mark, Jeff attained his goals: he bought a car, moved out of sober living into his own place, and increased his work hours. He didn’t just maintain his sobriety; he thrived in it. “His story is living proof that hard work, dedication, and transparency can lead to real, lasting change,” Cincotta said.

But Jeff isn’t stopping there. He’s already setting new goals and looking ahead.

“Jeff is not the exception; he is the rule,” Cincotta said. “With determination, a willingness to grow, and the courage to face every obstacle head-on, sobriety and success are within reach.”

Jeff’s journey is a powerful reminder: transformation is possible. Cincotta said, “For Jeff, this is just the beginning.”
