Trauma Informed Care Training (CIT)

Wed., Apr
2

Description

Trauma is pervasive in our communities. Trauma impacts and is impacted by our organizations and institutions. It is beneficial to individuals, organizations, and the larger community for all staff members to have a better understanding of trauma and its impact so an organization can move toward developing an organizational culture that is more trauma informed for persons served, staff, and the community. This 3-hour training will begin with more trauma informed care (TIC)/culture training for staff to provide a basic understanding of how exposure to traumatic events can impact the people you serve. This will provide a good clinical and TIC cultural foundation for the trauma treatment as well as an understanding of how an organization can incorporate more TIC practices day-to-day.
