There are five goals anyone can learn to assist with someone who may encounter these issues and they are:
- Establish safety and security.
- Connect to restorative services.
- Reduce stress related to reactions.
- Foster adaptive coping.
- Enhancing natural resilience.
Psychological First Aid is rendered in the first hours or days or a disaster, trauma or serious mental health issue.
